One More Time......

I've started three different blogs today....I just can't seem to formulate my thoughts into anything cohesive. It's just a mess up there!!:-)

Having only dealt with Type 1 Diabetes for 4 months, I still feel like the new kid on the block. This diabetes stuff is still being forced into a permanent position in our family mold. Sometimes it seems like "old hat", but so much of it is still new and scary.

Today I really just want to be thankful for all the lessons God has brought our way through this disease. It has been and continues to be a trial, but a refining trial. Yes, DIABETES isn't fun, and at times I wish we could go back to when eating wasn't even a second thought for J.J.. But we know this trial has been sifted through the Father's loving hands before reaching us. He knows and is faithful to sustain us.

This song touched my heart today, and really explains where I am with this new world of Type 1 Diabetes. To God be the glory!!

"Bring the Rain" by Mercy Me

(The lead singer for Mercy Me has a young son with Type 1 diabetes. He's a father that knows and understands!!! Check out what he is doing to spread the word about Type 1!!)

Lynnea - Thank you so much for putting this video on your post today. You have no idea how much I needed to hear that song today. Today was one of the most difficult, stressful, days I have ever had in my working life. (And it didn't even have anything to do with my diabetes this time.) This song simply reminded me that if I have to suffer in some way to bring God glory, then so be it. It put my day into perspective & I know I can face my job tomorrow. I know everything will be okay.

I don't know if you've even noticed on my blog, but I have my favorite verse at the bottom of the page. It's Philippians 4:13 - I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

I'm glad this song touched your heart today & you were led to include it. It definitely touched my heart, too. Thank you.

Donna--I'm sorry for your bad work day!! God is faithful....He will never leave you nor forsake you. I hope tomorrow is a better day!!

I can't watch this video right now without crying my eyes out. Needful crying.

And yes, the verse at the end of your posts is a constant reminder that I need to rely on Christ!!
